I got caught out in the rain today. That should help my cold. I walked to the Irish pub to watch the Manchester United match, but the pub didn't open for another hour, meaning I'd miss most of the game. Instead of waiting I just decided to walk home and about 5 minutes into my journey, it started raining on me. I live in an area of Konstanz named Paradise and as I was walking in the rain, which was coming down pretty heavily now, I saw a bus that was going there. I thought quickly and jumped on the bus, thinking with any luck this bus would take me back home. This freaking bus backtracked me about 10 blocks, which means I had to walk from the beginning again. I was thrilled.
Earlier today, I took my clothes to the laundromat at Europahaus. I put my clothes in the washing machine and left. When I returned, the load was finished, but the washing machine decided not to drain so my clothes were left in a soapy, watery, mess. In hindsight I notice a reoccurring theme for the day.
In any event, I beat the living crap out of the month long language course- walking away with an A+ and 6 college credits, incase anyone was wondering. Not so shabby. I have the next two weeks off. On Tuesday I leave for Rome. My friend from high school, Dean, has been studying in Rome since we graduated. He‘ll be able to show me all the hot spots and perhaps he could also give some insight into studying in Rome, for all those who are interested.
For about two weeks now I’ve been cutting up every magazine I can get my hands on and putting pictures on my wall. It is starting to look a lot better already. I'd post a picture of the wall, but it's not quite finished yet so you'll have to wait another week.
Finally, I received my brand-freaking-new cell phone from Telestial Inc. yesterday. It is pretty nice. Camera, Bluetooth, the works. I could kick myself directly in the eye for buying a cell phone for myself two weeks ago. No bother, I can "cell" (haha play on words) the old one on Ebay and make myself a little dough. I'm such a smarty pants. The new cell phone is really nice, but for the life of me I can’t figure out how to work it. I would have read the directions, but there are way too many, so I just decided to wing it. I’ll get it working before I leave Germany, I’m sure. I will try to get another blog up before I leave for Rome, but if not I’ll see you guys in a week. Be good.
